Hollow Earth 03:20
Underneath the mantle Where giants roam I’ve felt their presence Another world Ancient civilization Below our realm Advanced beings Driven to hide But from up here All you see is mass destruction Take all this Think only of yourself Selfish needs Smother the air you breathe Breathe our last breath As you hollow Hollow earth ‘Til it exists no more What became of us? Were we always doomed? Or a protector species Who's lost their way? Because up here All you see is mass destruction Take all this Think only of yourself Selfish needs Smother the air you breathe Breathe our last breath As you proceed to hollow Hollow earth ‘Til it exists no more Oh odious humankind Your greed will be our downfall Deplete it all 'til there's nothing No existence, no more

Nomad 03:55
Given the moment you'd strike through my good eye But faced with your actions you cower and hide Given the helm you ride into battle blind Drenched in corruption, corroding the collective mind But I hold through Tired but true I stand tall I weather all Over mountains and through the sky My resolve, this truth will never die I've watched the stars burst into flame I am the scorn, the doom that speaks your name But I hold through Tired but true I stand tall I weather all From the darkness now into the light My resolve, I will this final plight Oh won't you grace me With no words at all But I hold through Tired but true I stand tall I weather all

Indrid Cold 03:04
Cold is the name Appearing in the dark of night Inquire within Telepathic fright Alone with the beast Alone with your mind Alone on this road That only leads to agony No one will know The pain you've felt, that hides within No one will see Turmoil, doubt, panic, and strain No one will know The lack of trust within yourself No one will feel The isolation that comes with these thoughts The seeker Questioning these origins Smile through the pain Grin tooth to tooth The grin of a haunted face No one will know The pain you've felt, that hides within No one will see Turmoil, doubt, panic, and strain No one will know The lack of trust within yourself No one will feel The isolation that comes with these thoughts Mind rot There is no reason to be scared Mind rot We only wish you happiness Mind rot There is no reason to be scared Mind rot Just slip away No one will know The pain I've felt, that hides within No one will see Turmoil, doubt, panic, and strain No one will know The lack of trust within myself No one will feel The isolation that comes with these thoughts

All you see Masquerade I've hid myself away Silence fails Confidence Decaying These worms have found a host Atrophy Just leave me where you found me I've come to terms with all of these doubts I will find my way out But my mind can't reach the words I need to... "Say something" Voices plead My ghosts have learned to speak Shadows grow This ocean Infinite An endless sea of fear Smoke won't fade Just leave me where you found me I've come to terms with all of these doubts I will find my way out But my mind can't reach the words I need to say Just leave me where you found me I've come to terms with all of these doubts I will find my way out But my mind can't reach the words I need to say

Enter atomic age, atomized are we Mutant conglomerate companies run free Nuclear reactionaries, damaged to the core Arms of propaganda stretched to every source (No trust, open eyes) Your head goes spinning round and round (Psyop, spewing lies) It's not as crazy as it sounds (Divert and cover-up) What do you say? Do you believe in reality at all? Or do you feel humanity will fall? Would you just leave this whole world behind Just to live in your own mind Empty your platitudes, use 'em as a gauze Profit off movements and forget about the cause Sponsored content passes off as news Another tragedy passed over for the views (No trust, open eyes) Your head is spinning round (Psyop, spewing lies) It's not as crazy as it sounds (Divert and cover-up) What do you say? Do you believe in reality at all? Or do you feel humanity will fall? Would you just leave this whole world behind Just to live in your own mind Manufacture neutralized consciousness and compromised consciences Complacent convenience yields moral leniency Self-sustaining cycle Over and over it, over and over it Over and over again Do you believe in reality at all? Or do you feel humanity will fall? Would you just leave this whole world behind Just to live in your own mind

The Admiral's orders resound Through arctic tundra we're bound The expedition to find resources hidden below An open portal was found Agartha, land underground Ancient beings warned of annihilation They will ride from the cold Ships from another world To end our doom How long can we wait? Agarthans open your gates Send your riders our way Can we be saved? Atomic death is sure As leaders profit from war Accumulation of arms must not be the call The surface can not hold As drone strikes explode How much more blood must be spilt? They will ride from the cold Ships from another world To end our doom How long can we wait? Agarthans open your gates Send your riders our way Can we be saved? How long can we wait? Agarthans open your gates Send your riders our way Can we be saved?

Cloud Giant 02:51
I pled with the stars, but they couldn't see So I’ve been searching for meaning Searching for reason or destiny Just take me home I’ve gazed through the clouds, but they couldn’t hold A giant been searching for shelter Leaving behind the promise I’ve been sold I’m coming home I pled with the gods, but they couldn't see So I’ve been searching for meaning Searching for reason or destiny I've found my own way home I've found my own way home I've found my own way home I've found my own way home
9.
Squonk 00:49
I am no animal But I am no man

Waiting for this torment to end Now and forever plagued by this basilisk The great overlord - singularity Now and forever more Your sacrifice meant nothing at all Your purpose, eternal torment This knowledge is pain This basilisk will always reign The great singularity Now and forever more Your life meant nothing at all There's no way back There is no escape There's no way out

Hollow Sun 01:49
Say you will Take one last trip with me Come on this voyage Climb aboard We’ve only got ourselves to be accountable for It’s always been you Take this ride and leave behind all these worries And callous people On this ship We’ll ride into infinite oblivion It’s always been you Into the sun we go again We’ll take flight to escape the hollow truths and cold Space is an ocean, infinite beyond doubt But reality is cruel, so we'll ride beyond the clouds Where no man, no serpent will find us In a hollow sun

Into The Hollow is the debut album from Mothman and The Thunderbirds, the ambitious and conceptual solo project of Alex Parkinson. Will the Mothman be able to prevent disaster this time? Who knows, there's bigger things going on to worry about like hollow earths and oceans without end. It's going to take a whole cast of characters and guest musicians to save us from this one. Do you believe in reality?

The beast will be unleashed on May 21st, with each new single having its own distinct artwork. While the album can best be described as sludge and stoner metal with prog elements, that doesn't quite do justice for the unique blend of styles and collaborations. If anything, Into the Hollow is a stoner metal album for people who are bored of stoner metal. The album is eclectic in scope; no two songs sound alike. Many of the song titles reference cryptids and conspiracy theories, but the lyrics intertwine these subjects with themes of anxiety, isolation, global warming, war, and manufactured consent. The insanity of it all is woven into an emotional, often aggressive, experience that just barely exceeds a 30-minute runtime.

Speaking on the origins of the project, Alex had this to say: "The band name was inspired by a binge-watch session of the beloved program Ancient Aliens. In one of the episodes, a host posited that the Mothman may be a Thunderbird. I thought to myself, ‘hey, Mothman and The Thunderbirds would be a really dumb, but great, band name,’ and the rest was history!
